Patrick’s Day party on Friday, March 16th.ABCD North End / West End Service Center St. Patrick's DayIt was a crisp, sunny day and the seniors enjoyed watching the snow melt outside the windows of the drop-in center, as the neighborhood gears up for a possible fourth Nor’easter this week!AdvertisementNearly four dozen community members, almost all of them seniors from the neighborhoods, came to the center at 1 Michelangelo Street in the North End to feast on festive green pasta, corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, fish for those in observance of the Lenten season, cake, and coffee. Victor Brogna, well known for his musical performances in the area, played traditional Irish music and other tunes on the trumpet. Victor is an Advisory Board member of the NE/WE NSC, as well as a current member of the North End / Waterfront Residents Association (NEWRA) as the Chair of the Zoning, License, and Construction Committee, lending his passions and talents to many civic affairs!Special guests included Dino Manca, Acting Director, and Marsha McCarthy, of the Boston Harborside Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons-Waring-Langone. The center is grateful that they both made time in their busy schedules to entertain the seniors, staff, and volunteers! The center also welcomes Alison Freeman, new Director of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Commission on Affairs of the Elderly.Would you like to join the fun?
